Al Raposo joined the team at Top Shelf Customs in 2006 after completing a three-year apprenticeship under the watchful eye of long time top fuel drag bike tuner Doran Benson. At the ripe age of twenty-two he may seem like a newcomer to the motorcycle game but we can assure you he's not. You see, Al's Dad has been building custom motorcycles for almost thirty years now and from the time Al was big enough to pick up a wrench his dad put him to work. Together they built Al's first bike when he was fourteen years old. From that time on, Al has become a diehard and dedicated motorcycle mechanic with the determination and skill that could be matched against those of any age.
